So after some time off from blogging about my photo experiences, I’ve decided that I’m going to start up again. This week I shot Skrillex’s Mothership Tour in Cleveland. A friend of mine mentioned that he could get me in with Milo & Otis, so after some emails back and forth everything was set. Their manager, Christina, actually turned out to be one of the best managers I’ve worked with in awhile.
While Dillon Francis went on, Matt (Milo & Otis) brought me backstage so I could grab some photos of them. I didn’t have a flash, and lighting was next to none back there, so I had the guys stand in front of a small blue light beside the dressing rooms. As I was shooting Sonny ran out of his room, and jumped in the frame with them. I introduced myself to him, and he was super chill to talk with. I didn’t like most of the shots because of the lighting, but I was able to save one of them.
After about 20 minutes backstage security tried to kick me out because I didn’t have the right pass to be back there. Matt and their TM had to help me out, but I felt that I had my photo that I needed and didn’t want to overstay my welcome, so I headed back out to shoot Dillon Francis and get ready for Skrillex.
